Thursday, August 21, 2008 best hand-lettered

Hand-lettered favor for a friend of mine I did a few months back. She wanted to present her boss with an anniversary gift that celebrated the leaving of an unwanted business partner. Haha. So they chose this poster and asked me to personalize it with some lettering of one of my favorite sayings.

Hand-lettering is not a strength of mine. It took me a dozen tries to get it to this point.

Done with a Pentel Metallic brush pen
They were very happy with it.

Initials of the former business partner

Warped OUT!!!

Me and Joshua Woodward of A Day To Remember...damn are we good lookin'!
I'm wearing a UK only ATTICUS shirt I designed. I wish they would have made them available in the US.

Now that the 2008 Warped Tour is over and in the bag I can concentrate on a few other projects with Atticus. Can't talk about any of it right now but they will be cool.

In the meantime check out these pics Mark Bubb - Man of Mystery, Music and Mid West roots - took while on tour. If you stopped by the Atticus booth then you met Mark, and threw cash at him for one of my shirts. Or laughed out loud when I when he pointed to me and told you I designed the shirts.

Shirts are now available at:
SANITY in Australia

Doug from The Sleeping wearing the stitch girl shirt I designed.

Jordan from Set Your Goals wearing the Don't Hold Your Breath shirt I designed. This was a warped tour exclusive colorway.

Josh of Every Avenue wearing the stitch girl shirt I designed.

This is the poster Atticus produced for the Devil Wears Prada, and their signings. Pretty rad to see my shirt in there.
Forever The Sickest Kids wearing the Don't Hold Your Breath shirt I designed.

Pushead/ Kaws companion

Originally uploaded by brianewingdotcom.

Ugh...I finally got one of these. Yes, my awesome toy nerd friend Justin hooked me up with one of these. He was kind enough to break up his set of Companions and sell me one of these. I could have bought one on ebay years ago...but I'm pretty lazy with that shit.

Of all the Pushead vinyl out there...this is by far my favorite. The size and the sculpt are perfect. If only they did a 4ft of this I'd sell plasma and some original art to get one.

Ayup...  I put in my notice with my landlord and plan on packing up every damn thing I own so I can move to New York, and finally fulfill my dream of being a nerd on another coast.  Why the move?  Why not.  Because I can.  I miss the seasons especially the snow.

September 1st, 2008 - the online store will be closed for a few months.  So if you've been eyeballing anything... now's the time to get it.  DON'T email me about buying stuff while the shop is closed.  Mmmkay!  I'll let everyone know when the new shop will be open.  I hope to have some new art prints and gigposters to make it worth your while.

I've been down for the count with the flu, so this was a pleasant surprise in the mail. Lots of bewbeez!

The guys at FRONT MAG sent me copies of their magazine. Included is a review they did of the glow in the dark shirt I designed for Atticus.

Conspicuos Consumption

Coarse Toys 1:3 Flake - Chopper Version

My buddy JUSTIN is to blame for me buying this. He sends me emails about new stuff (toys, music, clothes, etc) all the time and I HAD to have one of these.

This is my post comic con gift to myself. Last year it was the Ashley Wood painting

I just had no idea it was so damn tall!

Just letting the myspace and livejournal folks know first... that I'm making the new shirts available for a special price. $60 for a set of 3. Normally they retail for $25 a piece. So you do the math.

New shirts are finally available on MY SITE. Some sizes are already sold out.

The offer ends next week. August 14th.

Now STEVE CHANKS can stop bugging me and buy some shirts.
